Other than the "easy" decision based upon the 757 and 737, here's my two cents worth:

As a frequent Bay Area traveler, it really comes down to 1) where you need to be, and 2) when you need to be there. SFO is very congested, so you're almost guaranteed a delay. There is also major contstruction around the airport.

If you need to go into the city, SFO is probably best. Easy transportation, etc. into San Francisco proper. If your heading toward the east bay, use Oakland. BTW, Hertz in Oakland has been awful lately, so avoid if at all possible.
