While SQ awards can generally be tricky, I don't think they are quite as bad as some people make out. 2 seats in F is definitely difficult, but that's hardly surprising is it,it's F !! Having said that people have managed to get ex-LHR F on SQ a month before departure !.

I booked a couple of C returns on SQ for MAN-DPS using BD (cash+) miles and got the days I wanted immediately. This was in December for flights next month so the golden rule as usual is try and book as early as you can.

Don't forget SQ also have daily flights from AMS if that's an option.
