Hi- I'm new to the forum and am hoping those with much more experience can help me. My wife and I are flying to China next month to adopt our new baby- we will fly from ORD to Beijing, pick up the baby, and fly back via Hong Kong back to ORD. Just wondering if anyone has had experience or even seen the airline bassinets. United told me they can be used in first or business class. Our new daughter will be 13 months when we fly back, so I'm wondering if that is too big for the bassinet (United says they can handle a child up to 25 lbs, but I would like to hear some first hand experiences).

If we don't use the bassinet, we will get her a seat, but since it is such late notice, we will have to buy 3 standard award business seats (ouch-lots of miles!). If we used the bassinet, we could get two standard first class seats- although I'm not sure I'm comfortable having an infant up in first class.

Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
