I must confess that MH's FC sure beats any European or American lounges. Even though QF is my preferred airlines, their first class lounges are nothing compared to MH in KUL. My opinion anyway.

That's fine, but please tell me what i'm missing. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this - perhaps i've become too off hand about these things. Rather than just saying "it's better than the rest", can you tell me
why it's better than the rest?
If I go through my list above, my one visit to the UA F lounge in ORD ticked most of those boxes. Can't remember about the champagne, but it was very nicely done inside (not like the RCC's) very quiet, nice view and a so-so array of food...
Perhaps its well received here on FT because it's consistent???
