SUVs
When gas was cheaper a few years ago.....my family went against the tide and bought 2 new small cars (Toyota Corrolla and Acura). Well, all my friends laughed at me. Now with the price hoovering near C$1/liter, they are no longer laughing.
But even so......the predominant vehicle on the road these days is still overwhelmingly an SUV. Kind of reminds me of the early 70s when everyone drove a big, gas guzzling 8-cylinder North American-made vehicle (myself included). The Jap cars were inferior, so they said. Beside, Cdns and Americans would always support the local car makers.
Looking at the auto sales statistics now......here we go again.....GM, Chrysler and Ford are still focused on SUVs or larger vehicles and the Japanese importors are continuing to making headway. It's the 70s all over again.
When will the North American auto industry learn!!
