At work we have a medium size Pelican case for a professional MD recorder & a few other bits of equipment and it has lasted through most wear and tear with not a scratch.

Then we leant it to another department, who managed (somehow) to break one of the catches, in two, and returned it to us with that part totally missing.

N.B. I read recently that Tumi is made of ballistic nylon, but not bulletproof , before anyone tries to use it as protection
