And after waiting there for 90 minutes your luggage is off the caroussel anyway, but not on a cart, so you do not have to lift it anymore.
Treatment at customs is also the same, depending on the lines...
Not really outstanding, but I fear the airlines do not have any power dealing with immigration and customs, cause there everybody is treated equally...
And to make a long story short, it is still better for me to fly KL to LAX, cause they arrive at a time, when their terminal and immigration lines are not crowded at all...
I´m not sure what´s going on with you, but yes trying means trying; but you know, doing that special service every day the service assistants know most of the security men there, so sometimes when there are a lot of passengers waiting for immigration, the PAs are talking with the security guards and wonder what (?), yes they´ll let you through to be the next!
Even if there´s no special line for you, it´ll work out most of the time without waiting (max. was 5 minutes since I´m HON instead of 90 min. in former times!)
