Thanks for all the great ideas guys... we've been reviewing with our tax/legal/financial advisors as we go.
We discussed a per diem but a lot of our clients balk at those types of arrangements. I think what we may propose is a per diem max for reimbursement (vs the X for breakfast, Y for lunch, Z for dinner that we do now) and allow the consultant to choose which meals to spend that amount on.
I appreciate the good advice... it looks like our negotiations are going to drag out another week so I certainly appreciate any tips you guys have in the interim while we get ready to transition to employed to self-employed!
