Here's my shortlist
I like airports that are big, modern, and clean. Unfortunately, most US airports are just big, dirty and old. I can't stand small backwood hick airports.
Like:
SFO - Love the fact that the BART stops right inside that airport campus. The city planners deserve ^ ^ for world class thinking. Are you listening you worthless pieces of #$(# at OAK? The views from the airport tram are cool. This reminds me of ZRH.
DFW - Gotta love the sheer size of the place. Can't wait to try the new "TrAAin", and to book a stay at the Hyatt in the intl terminal.
SAN - Just love the open feel of T2. Nothing like coming out of the airport into sunny SAN weather.
ORD(AA's H/K gates) Can't wait until my next AC visit.
MIA(Concourse A) - Just love the intl environment. You've got LAN, BA, LX, TACA, and TAM.
Dislike:
GSO - Small hick airport.
OAK - Airport officials sold their soul to the WN beast. Yes, let's give the trailer trash a nice new terminal, and totally ignore the airlines that could make us into a real airport. I've been flying into this dump for the past 10 years and virtually nothing has improved in Terminal 1. Nothing! No lounge, no elite security lines, no wireless net access. I really hate this airport.
LGB - Can they really call this trailer park an airport? I was only there to do a mileage run. Couldn't wait to get out. The only good thing is that you get an up close view of your aircraft from the ground level. The pre-fabricated gate areas were a joke.
IAH - Oh the dirty smelly carpets in CO's concourse. Have they cleaned them yet?
