On my first visit to ORD a couple of years ago I was connecting from a UK flight to SFO , the transaction was SMOOTH!!! and I didn't get lost! So I guess ORD has better signage than CDG! On the other hand JFK stinks. I only had a simple terminal to terminal connection on the AirTrain.....and I got lost!
