Except... that flying to PVR from WAS is seriously expensive - $500 and up, way up. And using miles to PVR, even in Y, wouldn't be the best cents-per-mile use, and, would eliminate the possibility of that grand LIM/EZE (or perhaps SYD, or PEK, JNB, etc.) trip in F or J we were considering for the foreseeable future, since GF doesn't have the MP balance I have.

So, my question is... I've regularly seen fare sales and competitive fares to PVR and other Mexico destinations from SEA/SFO/LAX/etc., and, DCA-LAX also seems to be on sale pretty often. In the current "Only Here Fares" sale, DCA-LAX and LAX-PVR are each $95+ o/w (if you can find availability at that price).

Has the AS sales department ever considered putting the two together and publishing (or e-dealing) competitive fares DCA-LAX-PVR/SJD/etc.? Might they, for the summer slow season in Mexico? Currently, DCA-PVR on AS comes up at $778 on scattered midweek dates through May and June, but mostly closer to $1000.

Alternately, if I watched for an overlapping sale myself, would AS sell us a ticket with a end-on-end construction DCA-LAX, LAX-PVR? Those are usually legal, aren't they?

RASMguy? MissyDarlin?
We don't file fares because we don't have complete service. You can get to PVR, but you can't get back. There are no connections.
