Yes, the thought of arriving tiered and being the right time to sleep is attractive. I need all of Monday to work in London and possibly some of Tuesday. I don't think there will be any time to work Tuesday morning if aiming for QF32's midday departure from LHR. I will need to determine if I am confident of finishing up on Monday afternoon/evening.
My other concern is the connection in SYD for BNE is the last flight of the day, and any delay in arrival or processing at SYD may be a problem, needing a night in SYD and morning arrival into BNE anyway!
