I was worried about flying Air China but it ended up being great. I flew F on a 737 from HKG-PEK. The contract lounge was great, and better than ANY USA RCC. The flight had great service and the pitch was about the same as UA Dom F. The seats were exactly like the old 737 leather F seats on UA. The food was good. DOOOOOO NOT go in coach on a narrow body Air China flight.

I then flew PEK-SHA on a 772 in C. The seats were like UA dom F but with more leg room and electic massager and foot rests. They IFE was great, with tons of channels, a camera mounted on the front of the plane and video games. The service (breakfast) was good, but I was not sure what I was eating. My ticked from PEK-SHA cost 150USD in C. Buy through the SFO Air China ticket office and you will get good prices.

Overall, I was impressed, given my expectations.
