slightly more seriously, a friend of mine runs oag here and swears that ca is the best managed airline in china, based on her experiences. personally, i couldn't disagree more, but she's in a much better position to judge than myself.
i just sent a friend off to jfk on ca today and, let me tell you, that whole reconfirmation exercise is tons of fun. (some people claim that if you don't reconfirm within 72 hours of your flight, you could be denied boarding.) we called the office number in "that's beijing" and were referred to three other numbers before someone finally agreed to help us. tmk, none of the 4 offices we contacted had any english speakers.
