Narrative:
The crew of ACA 117, an A320 en route from Toronto to Calgary, declared an emergency and diverted to Winnipeg at 1534Z due to a cracked windshield on the Captain's side of the cockpit and which caused sparking in the windshield. A major standby was declared. ACA 117 landed on Runway 18 at 1554Z without incident. No other aircraft were inconvenienced. TSB has sent an investigator to examine the aircraft.
