This is NEW YORK! There are hundreds of superb restaurants where you can take your parents, many of them moderately priced.
Try the listings at NewYorkMetro.com:
http://www.newyorkmetro.com/restaurants/index.htm
They have a "restaurant finder" on the right side of the page that lets you narrow down by cuisine, price, neighborhood, etc. They have New York Magazine's reviews as well as pretty decent user reviews and mostly up-to-date phone numbers and directions. And I find the site much easier to use than newyork.citysearch.com or other similar sites.
If you want to look up a particular restaurant, however, I recommend going to google and typing "site:newyorkmetro.com [insert restaurant name here]" (without the quotation marks or brackets). Nine times out of ten that will find it right away, whereas searching on newyorkmetro.com itself won't necessarily.
I also told another poster about
www.menupages.com. It's a good site because there are many categories. In addition, it provides the menus for tons of places.
As for Wicked, I just saw on Easter and I think my husband got the tickets via the concierge at our hotel (W Times Square). That could be another option. Since I was a surprise, I'm not sure what he paid for them.
