Hello pros,

I scrolled back through the last 30 pages here and also used the Google search function to no avail. Here's my situation:

A few weeks ago I booked a rather oddball itinerary STL-MIA-MAD/AGP-MIA-SJU-MIA-STL for next January. I partially paid for the ticket with $$$ and used a $300 VDB voucher that was expiring within a few days. AA called yesterday because the Iberia flight MAD-SJU had been cancelled (now only flying on Friday). So they changed the return to AGP-MAD-ORD-STL. I'm not too keen on flying on Iberia to ORD.

Anyway, I'm going to call AA back because I do have some questions about the taxes charged. I'm thinking about just asking for a refund for the whole thing. How will they refund it? Will they refund it? How will they handle the part that was previously a voucher? Is it in my rights to request a different routing? I'd rather return through MIA.
