W Atlanta - Not what I was expecting...

I recently stayed at the W Atlanta @ Perimeter Center... It really wasn’t what I was expecting... As a point of reference I've stayed at W San Diego - San Francisco - Seattle - NewYork (Tuscany and Court) - and Montreal (LOVE IT), and this W did not seem very W-equse...

I talked to the one of the managers - they said it used to be an all suite hotel (I was in one of their Extreme Suites) and that’s why they all had kitchens... Let me tell you at 9pm smelling that your neighbor down the hall was cooking was not my idea of fun... The doorbells are okay I guess, but from when 11PM - 3AM someone thought it would be funny to ring it every so often I was NOT impressed. I had contacted the front desk about it, but all they did was send security to walk the hall once and a while...

Room service was lacking... Food usually arrived room temperature and the W/W service seemed un willing to help me out with a few requests I had... (I needed a color printer -w New Yorks and Seattle never seem to have a problem filling this request, needed a car service - they called me a taxi stating they could not find me a sedan on such short notice...). They also seemed overly occupied with servicing the wedding that was going on more than their guests too...

PLUS the Concierge was totally clueless and referred me to the Westin @ PeachTree center for help!

I'm thinking next time its a Westin@Peachtree Center in Atlanta for me ...

Has anyone else stayed at the W Atlanta and felt the same?

-Vincent
