My strong impression is that UA is inching up their Y-class fares into asia - basically, they are no longer consistently right at the bottom for the lowest fare classes. I've got a couple trips to HKG and BKK coming up in late April and early June and UA has been pricing out at the bottom around $1200 and for H or M fare, up around $1800, while the Asian airline and NW are under a grand.

Could be that that they know they'd get the marginal business from 1Ps and up, who want the double/triple miles and the shot at an upgrade, and worst case scenario is e+

Into Europe however, I haven't seen the same at all - except for the nonstop LAX-LHR flight
