Do you have any data in your 'work address' fields? When changing country, you have to make sure there is no data of any kind in any of the fields outside of your home address (even a phone number will mess it up).
I changed mine a while ago and had data populated in both fields and everything moved fine without an issue.
It really sounds like a computer issue to me rather than anything BA Loyal is doing wrong.
