Customer Service Plan indicates that credit card refunds should be processed within 7 business days, but can take up to 2 statement cycles to appear.
The Customer Service Plan also states that
"For flights wholly within and departing from the U.S., you must check-in at least 15 minutes before scheduled departure time, and be present at the departure gate to retain your reservation and a seat," but AA appears to actually require an earlier presence at the gate, according to complaints of some recent FT posters.
