That was what I thought.
However, for my KUL-NRT flight just 2 weeks ago, the agent confirmed 6 seats abreast in rows 1 & 2 when I did the telephone check-in the night before my flight.
On boarding the aircraft, it was the newly configured 2-3-2 layout
