NIckW, would you kindly post a report including room layout, view, service quality, etc.... I am considering staying at the FS Canary Wharf when I return to London in a couple weeks time..... and ^ ^ on the upgrade to a 1 BR suite!! Kudos to FS too for making, and keeping, their customers happy!!

I booked into a Deluxe Room on the Easter Surprise package (£265 inc VAT, including easter amenity - chocolate eggs! - plus breakfast and an upgrade if available). I booked the Deluxe Room to see if I could chance into an Executive Suite.

I turned up a bit early at 2pm - my room was ready, but they had to check with housekeeping regarding a suite - I told them I'd be back at about 5pm (I was meeting some friends to toast the Oxford boat race success!). When I got back, I found they'd upgraded me to a one bed suite - a two category upgrade.

I'm so used to getting fobbed off by hotels over upgrades 'if available at checkin', so this was a very happy surprise!
