The VOIP headsets from various manufacturers, are for VOIP systems, such as those from Mitel, Cisco, Avaya, etc. When you have a true VOIP over CAT5 phone system, and intelligent handsets at the desk, THEN a realy VOIP headset is necessary,
and they start at about 100$ and go up from there.
Thanks - just signed up for Skype - will submit report when back from Sweden. My laptop mic actually worked for the Skype test (you record for 10 seconds and listen to playback to make sure mic is working.) ^
