Agreed---and the OP is right in that respect. I use virtually all my AA miles on Trans-pacific F. It's frankly no problem with CX, JL, ...., but with QF it's a royal pain to play the 11 month in advance game IF no QF FF has already claimed the F seats 30 days before I have a chance. As GUWonder has stated, if OW emeralds/sapphires are going to have to compete with other programs' members for QF seats, there should be some mechanism of petitioning for added QF inventory....not that there ever will be.
