Looking at the OP in this thread, it seems like the main complaints concern:
1. Airplanes that are filthy and duct-taped together
2. The disaster area that is PHL
3. No hot meals in FC.
Lots of other airlines should offer solutions to those problems. Other airlines' planes may not be sparkling clean but reading these boards it seems as though U really lags in this area compared to others. The PHL situation seems unique -- it doesn't seem like any other airlines' main hubs have a problem to this degree. And plenty of other airlines offer hot meals in F on flights of an appropriate length.
It just cracks me up how some FFers carry on and on about U and U management and how they should do things better compared to Airline X. Geez, if these were employees complaining about the situation at U, y'all would be saying, "So go work somewhere else!"
Why not take your own advice? If things are so miserable at U, go to another airline.
(Or perhaps, if things truly
aren't better anywhere else, maybe you'll just have to get used to it, and realize that this is what happens when customers keep demanding more for less and consistently show they will simpy not pay for what it costs to provide the "more" to the degree necessary to sustain it: the lowest common denominator emerges. But then, even in that case, what does constantly railing against U management 24/7 do to change that situation?)
