Miles for connection when no direct flight available
Hi All,
I have just been speaking to DC about a London-Moscow redemtion (miles+cash) in business. I have been told that as I have to connect through either FRA,MUC,DUS,CPH,ARN or VIE, that I have to pay the miles for the connection too. They said it was
(10,000 x 1.5) + (4,000 x 1.5) and (£70 x 1.5) + (£30 x 1.5) = 21,000 miles + £150
I don't think that it is right that I should be penalised for having to take the connection as there is no direct flight. I agree totally for having to pay for another flight with a connection if a direct was available, but I do not think it is appropriate when we are not asking for the connection, but it is the only option. Do you think I have a point? Is there anyone I can get in touch with at DC about this ?
