So, I'm in the SEA BR and see some wine in the glass case. I ask about the Syrah and am told that it's a PREMIUM wine and costs $5. Despite being a wine snob, I get the free cab. Upon my return I do get the Syrah and since the really nice guy gave me a big glass of bubble water earlier I do my normal bar thing and hand him a dollar bill. Well, he can take my $5 but not my tip.....

What's up with that? I generally don't tip in places you get free drinks, 'cause generally it's self serve such as the NW WC, the intl UA RCCs, the LH SEN lounges. But at the places where there is booze for pay such as domestic RCC, I always leave a tip even if I have a comp coupon. So why do they charge here for certain spirits but can't take tips? It's a disconnect.........
