And as an aside, didn't there used to be a differential between tier points earned for 'nearby' short haul (ie France, Germany) and further short haul (ie Poland, Portugal), similar to the <>2000 miles differential with partner airlines?
Longhaul for BA is (generally) any flight outside Europe. On the whole, flights taken on 767 / 747 / 777 planes with NCW / WT+ will be longhaul, whereas flights on A320s and other smaller planes will be shorthaul...
