When I was in HK a couple of months ago, I really enjoyed the Szechuan food (although I have never been to mainland China), especially at Yellow Door Kitchen - 6th Floor, 37 Cochrane St, Central. It's a tiny place, easy to miss, but the set lunch was delicious and a good value.
