I have a friend who is going to be visiting Rome with her Fiance (in their 30's) and looking for a place to stay, preferably a larger type of hotel (not really sure why, but it's what she asked for) in Central London. The trip will be in May.

They speak a bit of Italian though not much at all, and I'm sure are looking soemthing with a bit of character from the old Italy, not a modern business place. Not sure if money is a concern or not.

Any good solid recomendations that won't break their bank? I haven't been in Rome for 30 years, so I'm totally useless on this one.
