When US and DL were both using 727s on the LGA-BOS and LGA-DCA shuttles, they oftentimes would drop the back stairs and allow passengers to disembark out the back. Now both airlines routinely pull up stairs to the back left door (unless I happen to be sitting back there, in which case they use the front door only).
