1:30 connection time should work out fine for DFW based on my experience. A terminal change, as long as both flights are on AA, will not require you to re-clear security, but it may be a sizeable walk (A10-C39 for example was a recent connection I had and it took approx 20 min to walk.

The MD80 is AA's most common plane domestically. Lots of threads here on FT comparing the seating on this plane to others in the fleet. My only complaint is no IFE, but I have my laptop as long as the seat-power outlets are working.
