Just called to change my award reservation on LH from DFW-FRA-DFW. The UA rez. agent said DFW is one of the cities LH does not offer award travel using UA miles. She further went on to say several partners are now doing the same in select markets. Its not that the flights are sold out for award travel, they simply will not appear any more as options when requesting award space. She said this went into effect about 3 weeks ago. I used my miles particularlly to fly LH in F from DFW and it seems this will no longer be an option. Seems like the Star Alliance is not living up to its promises any more. Anyone else running into this situation?
