ASA/TSA in AGS

I do have to admit that both ASA and TSA personnel in AGS are wonderful. Flying in/out of there so frequently, I've gotten to know them well and they me. During the travel meltdown this past Xmas, we had to change plans and drive to ATL to make our trip, after checking in at AGS. The problem concerned "de-icing planes." According to a local at AGS, they had de-icing equipment, just "not the kind that works below freezing." I'm still confused about that.

Anyhow, we needed to retrieve our checked baggage in order to trek over to ATL. So did several planeloads of other passengers. With my PM status and relationship with the ASA/TSA folks, we got such preferential treatment that I was embarrased. Not so embarrased as to wait in line with everyone else mind you, but embarrased nonetheless.

Now, ASA folks at ATL are an entirely different breed.
