Thanks for the replies. Given that my main airport is MSP and it is likely as difficult to get international upgrades (most of my flights) with miles on most airlines, I may be better off staying with NW since the platinum threshold isonly 75,000 miles. I'll definitely make that level again. I have already benefited from an operational upgrade due to status on a transatlantic flight.
