Interestingly, the EMB 170 seat appears to be more spacious, with the following dimensions:
Seat width: 18.25" versus AA's 17"
Seat pitch: 32-33" versus AA's 31" - 32"
Am I looking at this right? Following AA's elimination of in-flight service, is there any compelling reason to book AA on this route (as usual out of DFW, AA is significantly more expensive)?
I am PLT with AA and Gold with US, so I get bonus miles with both carriers.
An EMB 170 is NOT a regional jet. It is a full size jet (albeit shorter and narrower) with full size seats with extra width and pitch. The only advantage that I can see is that AA might have better back-up flights (if the original one is delayed or cancelled) and AA is doing marginally better from the financial perspective.
