I completely agree with the other responses that sometimes it just is not possible because of other complications in the boarding process. However, most of the time it seems just a matter that the FA does not feel like it. From now on when I see this I am going to write AA and supply names. I couldn't agree with you more----tell AA, with names, when you get good service, and tell AA, with names, when you get bad service. Delta doesn't seem to have a problem providing good pre-flight service---why should AA find it so difficult???? And the S-80 is no excuse----I've been on such flights, especially recently, where the flight is fully boarded early and there's no pre-flight service...
