Itinerary change with no notification? Can someone decipher this for me?
I'm hoping my fellow FT'ers might be able to weigh in on this situation for me.
I was ticketed on May 11th on NW flight 9359 from LAN-CVG, and then NW 9048 from CVG-ALB.
So, here's the story. Today, I'm logged on to nwa.com looking at my travel plans, and I see that the NW9359 is gone, and replaced with NW9331, which leaves about 4 hours later than NW9359. Only, the thing is, NW9048 is still part of my itinerary.
What it does appear happened is that NW9359 has been eliminated, hence the need to change my flight. But with the LAN-CVG leg being moved four hours later, there's no way that I'd make the CVG-ALB leg. Were they just going to leave this flight there?
So here's my questions. 1) Why wasn't I notified about the change? 2) Why did they rebook me on a segment that makes it impossible for me to get to ALB that day? If there are no other options, that's one thing, but at least notify me...
I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiences like this, and if so, maybe they can explain the rationale behind leaving me booked on a segment that I have no hope of making? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
