FWIW, I paid $795 for that $1,600 room which, with one night free, means I got $3,200 worth of room for $795. Of course, some will say it's ridiculous because I would NEVER have paid that much, but I like my arithmetic better.
In terms of your specific issue, perhaps being in the UK is the difference. My advisor was willing to ignore the computer, call the hotel and speak to the reservation manager directly. I think that is what made the difference. Perhaps if you are willing to call the hotel directly to set it up, they can give you a folder number that Centurion UK can take over to complete the reservation. I truly thought it would be a problem and was very pleased that it was done so painlessly. Good luck.
