This is interesting.

Speaking to Centurion in London, they told me that the Centurion rate was not the FHR rate, but a special Centurion rate for MO.

They also told me that when they look at availability, it shows a rate which reflects the upgraded room type directly (to take account the upgrade at time of booking). However, not all room types are available on the Centurion rates: there was no availability for the Mandarin Executive Suite (the lowest suite category), even though there was availability for that room type at the FHR rate.

In fact, there were only three room types available on the Centurion rate plan, plus two suite types. The two cases I have written down were pay $765 for Premier Central Park View Room, or pay $1,600 for Central Park View Suite.

Does anyone in the UK have a differing experience? I'd obviously like to stay in a $1,600 Mandarin Executive Suite by paying the $900 rate for the Premier Central Park View Room.

Actually, this may all be completely different now as I recall they've changed their room categories since I was last there in December.
