I have been calling German reservations from the US because the agents are better, which is important with complicated RTW issues. I have been using my VOIP thinking that a 0180 number is toll free and therefore free as I have unlimited calling to European landlines. But now I noticed I have been charged $0.27/min for these calls.

My question: Is the LH 0180 reservations number really toll free?

Is there an alternate number with geographical area code? For example there are numbers for UA in Chicago that are local US numbers, which can be used outside the US.
