Well--as a comparison--DL used to give 2X mileage credit for first class fares.
I am not sure what the impact of that policy was--but they stopped doing it this year--and it looks like they are now giving 150% mileage credit on Y,B,M fares as well as 150% of businesss/first fares.
Spreading the rewards a bit maybe..
