Went to two great newish restos on my trip to La Belle Province last weekend.
First was Le Club du Chasse et Peche.This is simply the finest restaurant in Montreal right now IMO-blows Toque out of the water.
Lovely warm setting and very impressive food at a fair price.The chef used to be at Cube and is really shining in his own place away from the St.Laurent "scene".
The second was a small place on St.Andre called Bruniose.Food of the season,prepared with great attention,and served with style.It is also a real bargain as the entire menu is prix fixe.Three of us ate with a very modest wine for $162 cad!And the portions are of good size.
Also revisited Au Petite Extra again this trip,what a good place that is.
And I did a St.Laurent stroll,starting at Rachel for Poutine at pitita patata,then to a pourtugaise grilled chicken joint,then Schwartz's,,,yummmmm!
