Iran is far safer than Yemen. Yemen is a very interesting place, but it's not as "tourist" friendly in every corner. As a late Yemeni friend of mine told me: "if you are held hostage, at least you will be treated well until final preparations are made." [Yemen has lots of guns.]

As far as saying "I don't think we are in Kansas anymore", Yemen's more likely to inspire that reaction than Iran.
