I agree with this comment, although instead of saying "This (flat) position is IMHO not really useful.", I would say it is utterly useless.
The seat are very comfortable in almost any position but flat. The angle is way too steep and you wind up sliding toward the floor. There are other threads on this subject. In the seat pocket with the magazine, there is a guide to how to operate the seat. By all means, read it! It provides a number of very useful tips on how to set the seat up in various positions.
