Do you feel that the Not Valid for Airport Security needs to be more clearly marked? Or is it just something that everyone is going to need to get used to seeing.
to me personally, the airport service document is bogus. it shouldnt be spit out of the kiosk. if you cant get a boarding pass from the kiosk for whatever reason, it should just say please see an agent on the screen. the printed document isnt going to do any good. lets save some paper while we are at it because the service document is a waste of paper (i am always looking to save AS money

)
i personally dont understand why AS felt the need to add this extra step. before when you checked in online or at a kiosk and had a guest upgrade, it said COLLECT CERT (or something like that) on top of the boarding pass. i know that these didnt get collected all the time, but that sounds like a training issue for AS and its gate agents, not a problem that now makes me have to wait in another line.
i always have my cert out at boarding and hand it to the agent when boarding whether the agent asks for it or not. to me, i have used the cert and i need to turn it in -- i realize many people play by the rule if they didnt ask for the cert that is fault of AS and a bonus for the pax -- some of those coupons were used over and over and over, but if the people doing that can rationalize that as being the morally correct thing to do who am i to interfere -- i just turned mine in upon boarding.
enough of my tirade about this ridiculous change.
