I am 945 miles short of 2 round trips, and I want to make award reservations this week for myself and my wife. I can transfer starpoints into Alaska miles, but that may take a few days.

Will Alaska let my account go slightly negative while the transfer is inprogress, or do I have to wait for the transfer to complete?
