I got a room at the Baiyoke Sky for 79USD in mid-december 2004. Probably not the best of deals since the location of the hotel is not quite central, however the view from the Sky Zone of the hotel is spectacular and I was upgraded to a "junior executive" suite, no questions asked, from an internet fare!

Breakfast from the 84th floor makes then 10 min walk to the Sky Train quite worthwhile.
