Kabob Kafe – Lombard IL - West Chicago burbs I-355
As Kabob Kafe is set off Roosevelt Rd a bit, I’ve never noticed it until slightly before an am meeting w/a client. Client meeting gets done about 11:30am, perfect time to get to lunch to beat the crowds.
Kabob Kafe is not an overly nice layed out restaurant, signage is not the best, but the type of food which is not easy to find in this area, make up for it.
Associates and I split the Falafel, Chicken Shwarma, and Kafta Kabob sandwiches.
The bread used for the sandwiches is fresh on-site prepared tandoori naan. Oh man, I’ll go just for the bread.
Falafel was ok, far better in the city but not easy to find out here.
Chicken Shwarma was not what I’ve had in the past but more like chunks of chicken mixed with some spices, it was good.
Kafta Kabob was quite tasty. Still could use more spices but I’ll usually say that about any kafta kabob.
Samosas were all vegetarian but very good.
Traditional Beef, Chicken or Lamb kabobs are available too.
